Abstract

An analysis of bacterial resistance analysis is made during the medicine development in past years, contextualizing the significance or appearance of multi-resistant organisms at the hospital emphasizing the more relevant factors in the phenomenon genesis and in the more significant features in its prevention. It is indicated the impact of a inappropriate use of antibiotic-therapy on the mortality, stressing on the costs and also it is expressed the main principles to be taking into account. According the authors’s criterion these principles as a basis of the fight against sepsis are the following: a rational use of antibiotics and a reliable microbiology. Some experiences are mentioned used in our hospital to combat the phenomenon of bacterial resistance.
